Description: Located in the same complex as the Thornleigh Brickpit Sports Stadium and the Thorneligh Golf Centre, Brickpit Park is a great place for kids to burn off all of their energy. All of the play equipment is spread out over this huge park, so you never feel as though you are crowded when visiting.
There is play equipment for most ages to use. There is a small fort playground with a slide for little ones, a flying fox for dare devils, a pyramid climbing frame for little monkeys, a skate park and swings both for big kids and toddlers as well as loads of space to run around.
Because the playground facilities at Brickpit Park aren't shaded, the park doesn't normally have that many visitors. However if you slip, slop, slap and avoid the midday sun your kids will still have lots of fun and won't have to line up or take turns on all of the equipment.
Covered picnic tables are dotted around the park so that parents have somewhere to rest whilst their kids run wild.Their is a kiosk close by at the Sports Stadium and a cafe at the Thornleigh Golf centre where refreshments (ie coffee for parents) can be purchased. Toilets are also available at both of these venues.
A decent bike track weaves its way around the park, so remember to bring along your bikes and trikes. And if you have any spare cardboard boxes bring them along, as their is a great hill that you can slide on them down!
