The Park area at the Sydney Royal Easter Show is home to the hourly Circus Workshops, presented by Ashton Entertainment. There is ample lawn space, and areas to practice and learn some amazing circus tricks. There is also ample space to enjoy lunch in the outdoors afterwards. You're not too far away from the Kids Carnival area either. On some days the crowds are rather small, whereas on other days the crowds come in full force. There is plenty of space for parents to sit down, or you can come inside and help your child learn some cool magical circus like tricks.
walking on a mini-tightrope
Although many kids do learn this in primary school, it is just as fun to learn with a group that has over 160 years of circus knowledge under their belts. That's right the hula hoop experiences. Kids have the opportunity to not only learn how to hula with one hoop, but with multiple hoops simultaneously. This activity is rather popular amongst boys and girls. Some of the boys there just want to skip with their hula hoops. Using the hula hoop on your ankle is also covered, like a skipping feel again.
Many other Sydney kids also got the chance to learn how to juggle and plate spin. We are not just talking about juggling balls. Kids also learn how to juggle ten pin bowling pins and other wacky tools, although some just want to play and do their own thing in this significantly large, open playground where the sun is shining and many of them are on holidays. Still an Easter Show favourite that is on every year.
She is very brave. Doing a great job.
One happy mum was proud to see her little daughter learning how to walk on a mini-wire tightrope with one of the Circus staff members right next to her. Definitely learning how to walk like a daredevil. These workshops are free of charge, and fun for Sydney's kids for sure. Parents, just remember your camera in capturing those special moments of your child/children having oodles of fun in circus land. Such opportunities do not come along every day.
