Description:
Dr Foley Park is located in a part of Glebe that was once home to a historical gentlemen's home. This park was initially called Glebe Rest Park, until the park was named after a Glebe based medical practitioner in 1964.
The concept of this park being a
rest park resonates with many families that are either locals or visiting this Inner West mecca. The ample green space is great for playing sports, or for a family picnic. A great way to escape the hustle and bustle of busy Glebe Point Road without going too far.
This park has undergone some refurbishment, and the kids play equipment is quite popular. The rest rooms are modern. On the bike riding trail, many kids enjoy drawing pictures with chalk. One child also drew a hopscotch game on such concrete. The kids play area is spacious in abundance.
