Description:
One of the largest parks in the Sutherland Shire, apart from the Royal National Park. This park contains well over 8,000 square metres of open grassed land on Cronulla's foreshore.
The main kid-friendly area is situated right across the road from Northies, when you're heading from the Cronulla shopping arcade.
During the week, the open circular area is home to many high school children enjoying a picnic-style lunch - just an amazing way to unwind. There are picnic tables scattered throughout this space.
For the little ones, the main attraction is definitely the play equipment. Although unshaded, it is rather popular. The current equipment was installed back in 2008.
Traditional swings and slippery slides are the order of the day, with a splash of different colours. There is a water tribute to some young girls who died in Bali while on holidays - organised by their parents. This is simple paradise, with palm trees scattered in abundance.
