The play equipment at the reserve.
At a Glance: A lovely park with lots of space and play equipment. It sits beside a lake. Swans and ducks surround the lake and even walk up along the banks. The swans are quite beautiful.
Dogs: on leads, yes.
Kiosk or Cafe: BYO food and drink. There is only a bubbler.
Along the river at the reserve. This is a pretty spot.
Playground: Two sets of play equipment including two climbing frames, plastic stepping stones, a flying fox, swings, three slides in different sizes the largest is a curvy slide, little hidey holes, a toy shop, bridges to climb over and monkey bars. There are also picnic tables and benches to sit on around the park. Good footpaths making it easier to wheel prams around. There are bins on site also.
There is some play equipment for younger children also.
Shade: The play equipment is all out in the open so a hat and sunscreen is needed. There are trees but they don't shade the play equipment. There are lovely trees to rest under around the edge of the park and surrounding the lake side. The picnic tables are under cover.
A group of picnic tables are undercover. Some families have parties under here and hang their decorations from the hut's ceiling.

Tables: about 5 picnic tables are underneath a hut perfect for a family or friend get together. Nice and shady to have a snack.

Age Suitability: 1-10 year olds.
Parking: Is available along the side streets. Best to go to the park after 9:30am and before 3:00pm or after 4:00pm on school days to avoid all the school traffic.
Description: This lovely park is a great place to take the kids on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Relax by the water watching the graceful Swans and the ducks. Bring along a picnic rug and a picnic to enjoy as a family. Good play equipment for different ages. Really nice to walk or ride a bike or scooter through. Kids that enjoy climbing will love this park. Lots of places for caregivers to sit while the children play. Pretty area, great for relaxing. The park is quite flat which makes it safe for young ones to walk around on. The hut, where the picnic tables are resembles 'Old McDonalds farm house' as a little girl wisely advised me. Only a few minutes drive from Sunnyholt Road.
Children can even play in the pretend shop which is underneath the tallest play equipment.
