Ashton Park Bradleys Head

Posted 2013-12-11 by Ivana Katzfollow
Address: Bradleys Head Road, Mosman

Part of Sydney Harbour National Park, Ashton Park comprises open grassy areas and native bushland. The park is close to Taronga Zoo and Bradley’s Head, the site of HMAS Sydney Memorial.

A stunning spot overlooking Sydney Harbour, with a small amphitheatre with access to a small grassy foreshore and beach, which is often overlooked.

A small car park is situated near the park, but it can get busy on the weekends, so get there early. Toilets are located near the car park.

Ashton Park is a great picnic spot, where you can watch yachts and ferries go by.

There are no cafes or kiosks at the park, however you will find a small kiosk at Athol Hall which is generally open 11am – 3pm.

If you are looking to venture somewhere you haven’t been to before, Ashton Park is a lovely spot to visit. Spend a day exploring the zoo, then drive over to the park for a picnic or a place to relax. Since there are no playgrounds, this park is more suited if you have older children.
