Carss Bush Park Playground

Carss Bush Park is a large popular reserve located in Blakehurst with a great number of trees providing shade for most of the area.



You will find excellent facilities including free electric BBQs, sheltered picnic tables, bubblers, taps, toilets and a playground with slides, swings and climbing frames, including a wheelchair accessible swing.



Children will enjoy making sandcastles on the small beach, which has layers of colourful sand. In summer, it is an ideal spot for swimming, as there are no waves, making it suitable for even young children.





Alternatively, you can swim at the Olympic Pool which is located near the car park, as is outdoor exercise equipment and a large oval.





For lunch enjoy a picnic, BBQ or head over the Carss Park Café & Grill, which serves a good variety of hot meals including children’s dishes, coffee and snacks. It is open Monday - Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm, Saturday - Sunday 8.00am - 4.00pm and dinner is available from 6pm on Friday & Saturday. For more information, visit Carss Park Café website.





Unrestricted parking is available at a nearby carpark or if travelling by public transport, catch the 959, 970, 971 or 958.

The reserve has a good wheelchair access and dogs are allowed on a leash.
