One Lovely Sunday morning we decided to take the kids to near Blacktown. This is a sensational little (not so little) zoo to take the kids.

It is a day activity like any other. The animals of which there are the beautiful peacocks, the snakes, the koalas and the platypus.



One of our children absolutely loved feeding the kangaroos and had to keep going back for more feed.



They couldn't believe their eyes when they got to have a photo with the koala. Scared as they were, they did brave the photo opportunity. Billy wouldn't go near many animals. He kept his distance from the sheep, the koala, the snakes, just about everything.

We took a picnic lunch, as we always do and bought our drinks at the cafe there.

Featherdale Wildlife is a great birthday party venue I noted. Seeing a kids birthday in progress.



There is also loads of information about the animals for the kids to remember and take info home with them.

Featherdale have a great friendly team to help you on your day out and make sure you don't miss a thing with the helpful maps they hand you.

I am looking forward to taking the kids again now that they are just that little bit older.
