Description:

King George Park is a park suitable for all. Local residents were upset for a little while when the main kids play area was closed off, and most of the park looked like an entire construction site while the second bridge was under construction.

The local council and the NSW Government made it up to the community, and that was the Constellation Playground was born a few years ago. This space is suitable for kids of all ages, and families are encouraged to have picnics and BBQs here. The equipment in this space comprises of quality Kaiser & Kuhne play equipment. There is also a sandpit.

Theres a sandpit in space too

Further on down, there is a walking trail as part of the Bay Run. Many people (including kids) walk, run and cycle in this space. There is a full athletics oval, of which is used by the Balmain Little Athletics Club on Saturday mornings between September to March. Otherwise the kids of Sydney love playing football and/or soccer in this space.

Fitness equipment too

The Little Athletics Club also uses the long jump pit, of which serves as a fun place to build sandcastles at other times, as well as to jump into this pit. Dogs love it here too. Nearby, there is a little beach where many kids and their dogs love to play.

The little beach, and right near the long jump turned sand pit too.
