My daughter got involved in making kids films from the age of 12. She got started when I investigated kids movie making at Olympic Park.

Cinewest is a fab little holiday clinic for your kids to get started with.

The clinic's manager, Vahid is very knowledgeable when it comes to short movie making and loves to share his expertise with the kids.

The films children start with are very basic short films that last about 3 minutes and are always filmed around the Armoury, so making up stories with the location is exciting.

Kids get involved in scripting, filming, editing, sound, graphics the whole realm of movie making.

The course goes for 3 days every school holidays.

My daughter got the opportunity to go over to Canada to represent Australia as a panel of judges for movies made for kids around the world.

Her friend also got to go the year after. Amazing opportunity and an amazing start to an interest she maintains today.
