has to be one of the best wildlife experiences in Sydney. It's engaging, educational and a chance to see some of Australia's many aquatic animals.

The fish and other sea creatures at the attraction have come from a range of habitats so there are a whole series of underwater worlds to explore that reflect their natural environments. These include 'Mangrove Swamps', 'South Coast Shipwreck, 'Bay of Rays' and many others.

One section is full of the kind of fish that live in Sydney Harbour, just outside the walls of this Darling Harbour attraction

Much larger tanks over at Dugong Island and Shark Valley have tunnels for you to walk through and wonder at the resident sharks, rays, dugongs . It's even possible to see them all from above, which is most exhilarating at Shark Valley where you can do the Shark Walk.

The Great Barrier Reef is another big attraction, best enjoyed at the Reef Theatre experience

has made a particular effort to ensure it is engaging for kids. They can get their hands wet at the Discovery Rockpool, test their knowledge on the quiz trail or watch one of the daily feeding and talks.

For an additional cost the whole family can also ride a Glass Bottom Boat over the Great Barrier Reef or join a behind-the-scenes tour.

Stop Three on the Quiz Trail

If you just want the basic experience though, tickets cost $38.00 for adults, $31.50 for Concessions and $24.00 for kids. However, you can book online and save at least 10% off these prices, and also get a family ticket for $79.00.

is open between 9.00am and 8.00pm every day and can be found on the city side of Darling Harbour.
