Sydneys Best Family Parks

When looking for a new park to visit with family and friends, I tend to look for places that have something for everyone, including a playground for the kids, bike and skateboard track, toilets and a café or kiosk. Here are some of my favourite Sydney parks:

Clontarf Reserve
Sandy Bay Road, Clontarf

Park features a sheltered playground, kiosk which serves hot food, muffins, coffee and ice cream, beach with shark net, toilets, free electric BBQs, picnic areas, seating and lots of shade under large trees, plenty of paid parking and also free street parking.

Cook Park
The Grand Parade, Brighton Le Sands

Park stretches along several kilometres and features several playgrounds, cafes and restaurants, swimming on a beach with no waves, bike/skateboard track, toilets, free electric BBQs, many picnic areas, seating and shade. Several small car parks are located along the park

North Harbour Reserve
North Harbour Street, Balgowlah

Park features a sheltered playground, small kiosk, scooter track for young kids, basketball court, toilets, free electric BBQs, picnic areas, seating, shade and street parking. Even though it is close to water, access is difficult.

Bicentennial Park
Australia Avenue, Homebush

Park features sheltered playground with plenty of seating nearby, outdoor and undercover café, bike/skateboard track, toilets, free BBQs and tables, picnic areas, water fountains for splashing, car park.

Winnererremy Bay
Mona Street, Mona Vale

Park features an enclosed, shaded playground, café with plenty of seating and is also pet friendly, bike/skateboard track, toilets, free electric BBQs, picnic areas, tables and undercover seating, car park and street parking.

Royal Botanic Gardens
Mrs Macquarie Road, Sydney

Sydney Park
Euston Road, St Peters

Park features several slides, playground, an oval, sandpits with squirting water, so children can build sand castles, toilets, water bubblers, bike track, café with outdoor seating, small carpark nearby.



Pirrama Park
Pirrama Road, Pyrmont

Park features a playground, water play area, toilets, plenty of picnic spots, café with seating, BBQs and incredible views of the harbour. Street parking available.



Enmore Park
Enmore Road, Enmore

Park features a great playground, lots of grassy areas, is located near an indoor swimming pool which also has a café. Bike and scooter track leads to the playground, toilets are located near the café.



Little Manly Point
Stuart Street Manly

Park features a small playground, bike and skateboard track, BBQs, plenty of picnic areas, stunning views of the harbour, swimming at a beach with no waves, café, toilets and showers. Find out more about [LINK
