Description:
is the ultimate family activity in Sydney; located on the harbour, it's so full of animals that it really does take a whole day to see them all.
If youre lucky you might see animal families thats a baby gorilla on its mothers back
Trails like the African Safari, Big Cats Trail, Australian Walkababout, Seal Walk and the Rainforest Trail are just some of the areas to explore, and all have a distinct theme.

There's a full day of pretty impressive shows and talks too. Seeing them all is virtually impossibly, but the main ones (the Seal Show and Free-Flight Bird Show) are shown multiple times a day.

Food can be bought at a few different sites and a full food court can be found in the centre of the zoo too, near the elephants (it's overpriced of course, but with food everyone will like).
For an additional cost, the zoo offers interactive experiences, like the chance to feed a giraffe or penguin. These encounters need to be booked in advance, at the entrance. A Roar and Snore sleepover is also on offer for children 5 and over and includes behind-the-scenes tours.
Since December 2014, there has also been a new addition called Wild Ropes, a series of ropes courses over the Australian Walkabout area. It can be done in a package with your zoo entry or as a separate attraction. Participants must be 10 years or older and at least 1.4 metres tall.
The zoo's Mosman location isn't hugely accessible, but ferries run directly to and from it to Circular Quay. Buses are another option and driving is popular too, with a large car park to cater for everyone who chooses this latter form of transport.
