The 5 Cheapest Family Friendly Rides The Easter Show
The colourful Super Slide
The
Sydney Royal Easter Show at the Showgrounds at Olympic Park comes around every year. Most in all the show is rather predictable, especially in the rides department. Parents, this article should be your gem when it comes to planning a great family day out at the show to save you both time and money.
All of these rides use what are known as 'Carnival Coupons' meaning that the more you buy, the cheaper the rides become with multiple use. The Carnival Coupons are also cheaper when purchased online, otherwise multiple stands are available at each and every Easter Show.
The dodgem cars
First off, that colourful super slide brings us back to the likes of Coney Island at Sydney's Luna Park. The queues are rather reasonable, yet a fun two minutes is enjoyed by all. The incline is rather steep, however this ride is quite safe. An awesome family friendly ride all round, even for you parents. Your magic carpet ride awaits. At night, the disco lights come on in this rainbow of love. Coupons required: three.
A family favourite, the dodgem cars can be found in the Coca Cola Carnival right near the showbag pavillion. Crazy fun, with an abundance of cars to limit the waiting time. There is still ample driving space, yet the inevitability lies in the bumping into each other department, despite being a good driver. This is what the fun is all about. Coupons required: six.
Another great family friendly ride that is rather affordable at the show.
Stay in the Coca Cola Carnival, and gravity shows its prominence. Remember the Space Probe when Australia's Wonderland was open? Get to re-visit that experience on the Mega Drop and be prepared for the wildest 1.8 seconds of your life. This is all over 45metres. It is advisable that your kids have not eaten for at least an hour before getting on this crazy ride. Coupons required: seven.
If you love the cars, and the dodgem cars aren't enough, the entertaining Coca Cola Carnival is home to some Crazy Cars. It's like a kids disco, maybe orienting them to the nightclubbing world later. Italian designed dodgem cars are used. Coupons required: six.
Get wet at Pirates Revenge
Finally, some water fun. Who wants to get wet? On the Pirates Revenge you're going to get soaked, just like being outside on a Manly Ferry at the heads in rocky water conditions. An aquatic rollercoaster of fun, getting wet at the edges the most. Coupons required: eight.
The coupons required for these cheap thrills might change from year to year. Otherwise, have a great day out at the show.
Live it up
