Description:
It may be at part of Taronga Zoo but Wild Ropes is worth a trip just by itself.

The attraction consists of fours ropes courses directly above the Australian Walkabout section of the zoo.

The locations means you get views of kangaroos, emus and more (they're short views though, as a lot of the courses are just over the top of paths).



There are over 60 obstacles to complete across the courses and many of them aren't so easy. All require a reasonable level of balance and strength, and as a result, only kids at least ten years old and 1.40 metres tall can have a go.



Kids should also be relatively good with heights; the lower courses here are four metres from the ground and the higher ones are at least eight metres up.

Tickets allow you to do at least one course at each height; the Adventure Package includes two of the courses, while an Ultimate Challenge allows you to do all four of them.



Both types of tickets can be combined with zoo entry for a discount (which is fair enough, as I struggled to fit in a tour of the entire zoo on the same day as Wild Ropes). These can be bought at the zoo, but (in peak season especially) booking online is recommended to make sure you get the session you want.
